Yoga nidra is the process of guiding the student into a deeply relaxed state but still maintaining conscious awareness.
It's possible that you may fall asleep during the session which is completely fine, but if you're able to maintain conscious awareness it's an incredible sensation to feel deeply relaxed while awake.
In shavasana pose, you will be fully supported by blankets while you listen to a guided meditation which is followed by a sound bowl session to stimulate auditory senses while in a deeply relaxed state.
